A trip into Asian tropics: Singapore • Malaysia • Thailand • Brunei. The multi-cultural region offers not only beach life, but also fancy cities like Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, as well as rain-forest experiences. Our experience of the Japanese Winter: A nine-day trip to Japan's northernmost island Hokkaido, with stops at Sapporo, Asahikawa, Wakkanai and Otaru. We finalized our travel with one day skiing in Niseko, near Sapporo.
Shanghai is China's fastest growing city and its economic center. Approximately 20 million people have its domicil here. During our 2010 Family Christmas we could get an insight into the megacity. A selection of pictures has been uploaded recently.
The "Meiji-Village" accomodates about 60 historical buildings from all-over Japan - relocated and reconstructed. The Meiji-Period describes the time from 1868 to 1912, when Japan has been opened after 300 years of closure. Western culture were influencing the whole life.
